Is Blue Light bad for your Skin?

 

Every day last week, shortly after I sat down at my desk to start working, I got a headache. It was the behind the eyes kind of headache. As you may know, I don’t like taking Advil or any pain medicine. I went through my natural remedy check list, (starting with the tension balm of course), but nothing was working. On Friday, I had a (light bulb go off) moment, after struggling with this headache all week. I thought I had been working longer hours in front of my computer and phone, so I quickly checked to see my screen time and it was way way up. I slowly stepped away from all screens until Monday to give my eyes and head a break.

It turned out that my eyes needed the break, I didn't have a headache all weekend!

Blue light harms our skin with speeding up the aging process by damaging our skin cells. The blue light rays break down collagen, leaving your skin with less elasticity and creating wrinkles. The exposure can prevent the cells from rejuvenating, causing inflammation, redness, and discolouration in your skin.
