10 Wellness Ideas for Busy Schedules
Posted on July 27 2020

Work, school, house chores, meal preparation, cleaning, traveling to and from places… many of us take on a lot each day! These busy schedules can be stressful and exhausting but despite the workload, it can be hard to convince ourselves to take a break. Here’s a list of wellness ideas, and most of them are quick and easy to fit into busy schedules. With a little organizing, you can place one, two (or maybe more!) activities into your daily routine.
5 Minute Self Care:
1. Brush your hair.
Our hair can get neglected amid all the other work we are doing, therefore taking five minutes to brush through it will revive it in just a few minutes. The brushing will help with scalp stimulation and healthier hair! Plus who doesn't love the feeling of brushing out hair?
2. Hydrate.
There are just so many things to think about so keeping up with 8 glasses of water a day might be the last thing on your mind. However, taking a few minutes to drink a glass of water, fruit-infused or herbal tea will keep you hydrated and much more productive. Check out our blog post on summer hydration if you want more hydration tips. For external hydration, we also recommend our Balance Mist which provides your skin with a refreshing, soothing experience!
3. Write down 10 things you are grateful for.
It’s a positive practice that allows you to take a moment to feel gratitude for the wonderful people and things in life. This quick 5 minute reflection time will also contribute to your long term well-being.
4. Watch a funny youtube clip.
Sometimes we just need a good laugh, so give yourself the time to do it! The benefits of laughter are numerous: decreases stress hormones, increased immunity, relieves physical tension, and more!
10 Minute Self Care:
5. Text someone you love.
Taking the time to connect with your loved ones will help you feel more centered and remind you that you are not alone. Set aside some time to text someone you love at the start of your day or for a midday break.
6. Give Yourself a foot massage with an Aromatherapy Roller!
After a long day of work, a foot massage is a perfect way to relax your body. We have a few types of Pure Aromatherapy Roller Balls, which are great for putting your mind at ease and helping you get a good night’s sleep. We love our Chill Out Aromatherapy and Release Aromatherapy, and we think you will too.
7. Listen to your three favourite songs.
Many people feel better when they listen to music they love. It’s best to take 10 minutes to listen to your favourite music and relax. If you feel like you don’t have the time, play the music in the background while doing low-intensity work.
20 Minute (and More) Self Care:
8. Have a Shower.
Take this time to relax and freshen your mind and body. If you want to make it even more relaxing, opt for Bloomiss’s Charcoal detox body scrub, which exfoliates and nourishes your skin as well as will exhilarate your senses with peppermint and lavender.
9. Make a smoothie.
Smoothies are amazing immunity boosters and they are also quick and simple to make. Before you reach for a processed drink, consider making a smoothie that rejuvenates your body. For busier schedules, frozen pre-packaged fruits can make smoothie-making even easier. Quick combinations include; banana, strawberry, blueberries, milk (type of your choice) OR banana, avocado, flax seeds, honey, milk.
10. Go for a walk, preferably closer to nature.
Try to incorporate some form of walking into your day, whether it’s a twenty-minute walk for a break or an evening stroll after work. Walking is known for reducing stress, improving your mood, and contributing to better sleep patterns.
These are a few self-care activities you can try, we hope they help you feel more relaxed and ready to take on your busy schedule! We would love to answer any questions about the natural beauty products mentioned in the post, so please don't hesitate to reach out to us.
